november 24
cloudy, and rain later. naokatahira and sekine met at the front of shinjuku station this morning. we talked about our event that is planed next year at a coffee shop near station. after meeting, naokatahira moved to yokohama and joined nomoto at the jr yokohama station. because it begun to rain, we carried out the plan for the rainy day. naokatahira started his performance "stay an arbitrary place for 5 minutes and continue it for 30 minutes" in the station area, but 10 minutes passed away, it was stopped by the guard man. and then we moved, and nomoto performed this performance. He accomplished it for 30 minutes. Next we performed "use by disposable camera, take the partner in turn till film disappers" which is Nomoto's idea, and we decided abandonment to perform "choose a favorite song and let a partner read its song" because it was so terrible rain, we could not look for the Karaoke room. After this we enjoyed to Yokohama triennale, and then we took meeting in a family restaurant nearby that night. We talked about our event again that morning. We decided to hold this event in March. October 13
It was fine day. We met at JR Shinjuku station new south exit at noon. We carried out today's first performance,"walking in the city and taking photos and very time after take photos, explain why and where do you take" Nomoto and naokatahira carried out it one by one, 30minutes each. (Time was counted correctly by stopwatch.) Nomoto walked around from Shinjuku 3tyo-me area to Shinjuku 2tyo-me area, naokatahira walked around Kabuki-tyo area. The picture that left as a things(Correctly, both of us used digital camera so that before we print out that dates it is still not things.) is one of the pleasure, but this day we enjoyed "the action; take photo" and communication which was made by that action more.Then, we moved on to Shinjuku station east exit area and carried out this day's second performance," performance which is featuring sounds" Nomoto used small stone and sometimes dropped it on the top of manhole, sometimes kicked out that small stone. Naokatahira sometimes walked on the white line on the rode with some tempo, sometimes crapped his hands with some tempo also. After that, we had a meeting at cafe'. I was planning to talk about music but I couldn't do it well because of lack of my preparation for it. When we talked about "performance which is featuring sounds", Naokatahira said, "After all, we MADE music." I think that wards would be some kind of standard to think about "no making". September 23
It was fine day. We met in font of JR Kawagoe station. We took a light meal and carried out "put a paper which is written the words of activist around the street". We put a piece of paper which we prepared beforehand with masking tape here and there. We continued it until that paper is finished. The first act was performed around JR Kawagoe station and the next act was around Seibu line Honkawagoe station. The second performance is "walk 20 steps and back 3 steps". It is repeated between two places where is decided voluntarily. Nomoto performed around Kawagoe station and Naokatahira performed around Honkawagoe station. Naokatahira performed it by the method that he imitates to see only the form without explanation about this performance from Nomoto before. After two performance, we had seeing the sights a little and had a meeting on the grass area in the park. We talked about "being famous, being recognized" that is suggested by Naokatahira. In the meeting, We realized that the important thing is to have the point of contact for the other society. Last of all, we carried out performance "choose a favorite song and let a partner read its song" in a Karaoke room. Each chose music freely and let the partner read. This time we found some reference points about the method of this performance. In addition, we decided that we carry out this performance "explain the reason why did you buy toward a video" at every time when Naokatahira make plans from this time. August 28
It was cloudy until noon, small rain from afternoon, thunder squall from sunset. 11:30, We met at JR Fukiage station. First of all, We carried out performance "trance water". Got some water from Ara-river which is flowing bottom(south) of Kumagaya city and brought it to Tone-river which is flowing top(north) of Kumagaya city and flew it into Tone-river. Then, got some water from Tone-river and brought it to Ara-river and flew it into Ara-river. Next, We carried out performance "radio cassette brothers". We performed this performance in 2 different ways. One was We, nomoto and naokatahira, were standing with radio cassette player and played it as free. Another one was put radio cassette player and we took some distance(about 5m) from those and we close when we wanted to tune it and took distance when we don't think so. We did both of those way at 3 different places, riverside of Ara-river, inside of car, car perking of Laox(electronic shop). Then, We had meeting at family restaurant. We talked about NIPAF with nomoto's self-report of NIPAF08-summer tour, and then, We talked about 'tukuranai' social group. What is 'tukuranai', what is monument, How was old artists statemants..., we talked a lot. I thougt our knowing about 'tukuranai' social group was getting deeper. July 3
cloudy day. We met at Seibu Shinjuku Line Tanashi station. At first we acted two performance and it was performed two times with moving place. Its performance title is "walk while playing embarrassed music" and "walk with a chair and sit down in a favorite place". The first place is Tanashi station, the next it is Hanakoganei station and last place is Kodaira station. At first Naokatahira and next Nomoto carried out it. Performance duration is 10 minutes. If performance is over, we just move to another performance. Because our member is two, it is like 40 minutes long duration performance in total that is started from in front of station. At the first place we acted in retiredness around the station, but as we moved other place, we became free - I could confirm it - for instance, walked toward a residential area out of around the station, changed the volume on the radio cassette arbitrarily. Last performance is "buy a necessary thing in a convenience store and explain the reason". We carried out it each other. After performance time we moved to near family restaurant and we talked about various things - for instance, about feeling embarrassed, economic issue and NIPAF. June 12
We met at the rainy Akihabara station, after lunch, carried out "2 video project". Because we couldn't do it as usual time, we acted at the place that don't get wet. Action places are the space in front of the wicket, arcade streets and etc. We guided by alternation. Because it was difficult to look for the place where don't get wet in the rain, we acted it on the escalator in the electric shop there. Last action place is the spot of the Akihabara massacre. We carried there very plainly. We moved to Nogata Nakano-ku and discussed about "generation and crime". The issue about performance and media control was discussed too.
